The fourth and final golf major of the year year was the British Open.

It was July 20-23 from Royal Liverpool in Merseyside, England.

There were plenty of storylines, but perhaps none bigger than Rory McIlroy looking to win his first major since 2014, coming off a disappointing final round a year ago when he couldn’t get any putt to drop.

In the end, Brian Harman dominated the field for the first major win of his career.

He finished at 13-under, which was good for a six-shot victory. Tom Kim, Jon Rahm, Sepp Straka and Jason Day all finished at 7-under.

The tournament had a purse of $16.5 million.
