The fourth and final golf major of the year was the British Open, July 17-20, from Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland.

Scottie Scheffler won his second major of the year and completed the third leg of the career Grand Slam.

Scheffler convincingly won by four shots, finishing at 17-under.

The tournament had a $17 million purse, the same as in 2024.
