The FedEx Cup Playoffs got underway with the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee.

In the end, Will Zalatoris defeated Sepp Straka on the third playoff hole to earn his first career PGA Tour win. Both players finished the tournament at 15-under par.
Zalatoris won the third playoff hole with a bogey on the par-3 11th, as Straka made a double-bogey. It was a drama-filled playoff, with some clutch shots by both players.
This is the first year the FedEx St. Jude Championship has been part of the FedEx Cup Playoffs. The top 70 players in the FedEx Cup standings will now advance to the BMW Championship and then the top 30 to the Tour Championship.
Zalatoris earned a winner’s share of $2.7 million from the $15 million purse.
