- The total purse for the 2023 John Deere Classic was $7.4 million.
- The winner's payout for the 2023 John Deere Classic was $1,332,000.
- Sepp Straka was the winner.
Like 2022, the John Deere Classic was held July 6-9 from TPC Deer Run in Silvis, Illinois.
This was two weeks before the Open Championship, whereas, in years past, it was the week prior. This is so players can compete in the Scottish Open.
Many opted to take the week off since it’s so close to players traveling across the Atlantic Ocean, and it is not a designated event.
This year, the field was headlined by Cameron Young, Denny McCarthy, Russell Henley Ludvig Aberg and defending champion J.T. Poston.
In the end, Sepp Straka was victorious thanks to a final round 62.
He finished the week at 21-under, two shots better than Brendon Todd and Alex Smalley.
The purse was $7.4 million.
