  • The Mexico Open at Vidanta is in its second year of existence.
  • Longer hitters are expected to have an advantage.
  • Prop bets are a good alternative to outright winner bets.

Prop bets are a nice alternative to outright winners in golf betting each week. For example, instead of selecting a player to win, picking him to finish in the top 10 might have better value.

This is especially true this week with such a massive favorite to win in Jon Rahm at +250.

Below are my best prop bets for the Mexico Open at Vidanta this week.

Mexico Open at Vidanta 2023: Best Prop Bets

Gary Woodland Top-10 Finish +190

On paper, Woodland has exactly what it takes to succeed at Vidanta Vallarta. He’s one of the longer hitters on Tour, he hits his irons low to avoid the wind, and the weakest part of his game, putting, shouldn’t play much of a factor on Paspalum greens.

The 38-year-old should play well this week as long as his short game doesn’t hold him back too much. He’s also made four straight cuts, which includes a T-14 finish at the Masters.

Luke List Top-20 Finish +210

Admittedly, List does not enter the event in the best of form, having missed the cut in four of his last six starts, but some of those courses did not suit his game. Being a long course, Vidanta Vallarta does.

List has excelled throughout his career on long courses, and this could be a good week for him to get his season back on track.

Matt Wallace Top-20 Finish +220

It’s been an up-and-down year for the 33-year-old, but he did win the Corales Puntacana Championship in late March. Wallace is in the top third in terms of distance among players in the field, which should help him this week.

Wallace’s win was in an opposite-field event, so wasn’t against a strong field, and that is the case once again this week.
