  • The Mexico Open at Vidanta was April 27-30.
  • It had a $7.7 million purse.
  • Tony Finau's winner's share was $1,386,000.

For the only time this season, the PGA Tour was in Mexico April 27-30 for the Mexico Open at Vidanta.

It was not a designated event, so it didn’t have as many stars as other events, but some big-name players were still in the field, including defending champion Jon Rahm.

Rahm made a charge over the weekend, including a 10-under 61 on Saturday, but Tony Finau was able to hold him off.

Finau finished the week at 24-under, to win by three strokes.

It was Finau’s second win of the 2022-23 PGA Tour season and sixth overall.

The purse was $7.7 million.
