The Sony Open in Hawaii, which has a purse of $7.9 million, will take place Jan. 12-15 at Waialae Country Club in Honolulu.

It’s the first full-field event of the 2023 calendar year.

Seven players in the top 25 of the Official World Golf Rankings will be in the field, including defending champion Hideki Matsuyama.

Tom Kim (+1100) has the best golf odds to win.

The Sony Open in Hawaii is a standard PGA Tour event, with four rounds of stroke play, Thursday-Sunday.

The 144-player field will be cut to the top 65 and ties following the second round.

He beat Russell Henley with an eagle on the first playoff hole. Matsuyama made up a five-shot deficit on the back nine in the final round to take home the win.
