The Sony Open in Hawaii is the second PGA event in 2023, and provides some solid golf betting opportunities.
One hundred and forty-four players will tee up between January 12-15. Defending champion Hideki Matsuyama, Jordan Spieth, and Tom Kim are the most notable names in the field, although seven of the top 25 players in the Official World Golf Rankings will take part.
The Sony Open in Hawaii is part of the FedEx Cup Series, and there will be a 36-hole cut. The top 65 players and ties will play on the weekend.

Where is the Waialae Country Club?
Waialae Country Club, the host of the Sony Open in Hawaii, is a private country club in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Established in 1927, the course was initially designed by Seth Raynor. Further design changes were made by Robert Trent Jones, Desmond Muirhead, Rick Smith, and, most recently, Tom Doak.
The player-friendly, par 70 course is one of the world’s most picturesque, with coconut, monkey pod, and kiawe trees lining the fairways. The Pacific Ocean borders the iconic eighth hole for its entire 187 yards.
