The Rocket Mortgage Classic from Detroit Golf Club moved up a month on the calendar in 2023 and was held June 29-July 2.
Although it was not a designated event, several big names were in the field, including defending champion Tony Finau, Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa and Rickie Fowler.
In an exciting finish, in which the final round tee times were moved up due to rain, Fowler won the tournament with a birdie on the first playoff hole.
Fowler, Morikawa and Adam Hadwin all finished the tournament at 24-under.
This was Fowler’s last PGA Tour win came in 2019.
The purse was $8.8 million.
