The Wyndham Championship will begin Thursday, Aug. 3, from Sedgefield Country Club, and even with it not being a designated event, the field is still solid, as it is the final regular-season event of the year.
Entering the week, Sungjae Im, Russell Henley and Hideki Matsuyama have the best odds to win at +2000.
At just over 7,100 yards, it is a short positional course where a lot of birdies will be made. Dating back to 2016, the winning score has been at least 20-under every year except when Kevin Kisner won at 15-under in 2021.

Aaron Rai +5000 First-Round Leader
Rai checks off a lot of the boxes when it comes to advanced PGA Tour stats needed to play well at Sedgefield Country Club. He’s 44th overall this year in first-round scoring average (70.45) but has several really low ones.
It feels like Rai could have a very solid week.
Akshay Bhatia +6600 First-Round Leader
Fresh off his win at the Baracuda Championship, Bhatia enters with more confidence than he’s ever had. With plenty of birdies likely to be made, this feels like a course that will suit his game.
Bhatia is 17th on the PGA Tour this season in birdie average (4.14).
Eric Cole +6600 First-Round Leader
Cole has feasted on short courses this season where a lot of birdies are made, and that will be the case this week.
When it comes to first rounds, he is 20th on the PGA Tour this year in scoring average (70.03).
