Besides being part of the Abu Dhabi Royal Family and owner of the Abu Dhabi United Group, he is the majority shareholder of the Abu Dhabi Media Investment Corporation, which owns The National, Abu Dhabi’s English-language daily newspaper, and Sky News Arabia.
He also holds several official positions in the United Arab Emirates. He is Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE, Minister of Presidential Affairs, and a member of the Supreme Petroleum Council.Â
The Sheiks also became Vice-Chairman of Mubadala Investment Company, one of the world’s largest state-owned investment funds, in 2017.
