When it came to NBA betting picks, taking the over for total points in games featuring the Golden State Warriors was once a lock. With Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, and Klay Thompson leading the way, the Warriors had the best offense in NBA history.

Now, Durant is in Brooklyn, and Thompson is out with an Achilles injury. Curry, the 2016 NBA MVP, is shouldering the load. Facing doubters wondering if he can carry a team, Curry silenced them with a 62-point performance on Jan. 3, 2021, in a 137-122 win against Portland.

Safe the say the over hit on that one.

The 62 points were a career-high for Curry. He has six games where he scored points in the 50s and 38 games with points scored in the 40s.

Let’s dive into Curry’s best performances.

62 points vs. Portland — 1/3/2021

Curry’s night started with a 21-point first quarter, a sign that a career-game was on the horizon. He went into halftime with 31 points and finished the game with 62.

Curry went 18-of-31 shooting, 8-of-16 from 3-point land, and hit 18-of-19 free throws.

54 points vs. New York — 2/27/2013

This was our first glimpse of just how lethal of a scorer Curry could be in the NBA. He became the first player in NBA history with 50-plus points on 10-plus made threes.

Curry hit 11-of-13 3-pointers while going 18-for-28 on field goals. He made all seven free-throw attempts.

53 points vs. New Orleans — 10/31/2015

A Halloween nightmare for the Pelicans. Just in the third quarter, Curry scored 28 points. New Orleans scored 26.

Curry finished 17-of-27 shooting, made 8-of-14 from behind the arc, and sank all 11 free throws.

51 points vs. Washington — 10/24/2018

The Warriors scored an incredible 144 points in this win. And the craziest part is Curry didn’t even play in the fourth quarter because the score was so lopsided.

Curry shot 15-of-24 from the field, made 11 3-pointers on 16 attempts, and hit all 10 of his free throws.

51 points vs. Orlando — 2/25/2016

Like most of these amazing performances, Curry had an absurd quarter. In this one, Curry scored 24 points in the third quarter while hitting 6-of-7 shots from 3-point range.

He finished 20-of-27 on field goals, 10-of-15 from behind the arc, and added one free throw.

51 points vs. Washington — 2/3/2016

Yes, that’s two 51-point games versus the Wizards. Curry’s 51 overshadowed Washington’s John Wall putting up 41 points.

Curry went 19-of-28 shooting, 11-of-15 on 3-pointers, and 2-of-3 from the charity stripe.

51 points vs. Dallas — 2/4/2015

At one point in the first quarter, the Mavericks held a 40-18 lead. Then Curry had enough, scoring 51 points as the Warriors came back to win 128-114. Twenty-six of those 51 points came in the third quarter.

Curry made 16 of his 26 shooting attempts, including 10-of-16 on 3-pointers. He also hit 9-of-11 free throws.
