Poirier is the slight betting favorite in UFC odds at -145 against Gaethje, who is tagged as the slight betting underdog at +120. This role of the two 155-pound fighters was due to the result of their first meeting in 2018, where “The Diamond” stopped “The Highlight” in the fourth round.
Other bouts featured in the card include the light heavyweight clash of Jan Blachowicz and Alex Pereira; the welterweight showdown of Stephen Thompson and Michel Pereira; the lightweight fight between Tony Ferguson and Bobby Green; and the welterweight battle of Michael Chiesa and Kevin Holland.
