  • Leon Edwards and Sean Brady headline the UFC London card on March 22.
  • The event will take place inside the O2 Arena in England.
  • Edwards is the +135 betting underdog, while Brady is the -160 betting favorite.

Former UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards returns to action and will face No. 5-ranked contender Sean Brady in the main event of the UFC London card on March 22, which will take place inside the O2 Arena in England.

Because he dropped his championship match with Belal Muhammad in July, Edwards heads into the match as the betting underdog with +135 UFC odds. Meanwhile, Brady rides a two-fight win streak, which has helped make him the -160 betting favorite at BetMGMโ€™s online sportsbook.

Leon Edwards vs. Sean Brady: Prediction

I predict Edwards will win via TKO/Ko finish because he has more dynamic striking skills than Brady and decent takedown defense to combat the threat of Bradyโ€™s jiu-jitsu skills.

Although Edwards showed difficulty in facing grappling-heavy opponents like Brady in the past, specifically when he fought Muhammad, his two-inch reach and three-inch leg reach advantages could be enough to fire from range and avoid clinch battle.

Once Edwards finds the perfect distance, he needs to uncork his striking skills, and it could be a long night for Brady because he has previously had problems with strikers, including his knockout loss to Muhammad last July.

On the other hand, Brady should immediately impose his superior jiu-jitsu skills and go for takedowns early in the fight. This way, Brady can attempt to quickly tire out Edwards and zap major energy from him.

Furthermore, once Brady gets hold of Edwards in a favorable position, the British-Jamaican fighter will have a difficult time getting out of position because their bodies should still be dry early in the match.

Leon Edwards Recent Fight Results

Before losing to Muhammad at UFC 304, Edwards was a former undisputed welterweight champion and defended his belt against Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington. He has only dropped three of his 17 fights under the Las Vegas-based promotion.

Aside from his wins over Usman and Covington, โ€œRockyโ€ also holds notable victories over the likes of Vicente Luque, Bryan Barberena, Donald Cerrone, Gunnar Nelson, Rafael Dos Anjos, and Nate Diaz to become one of the top stars in the 170-pound weight class.

Sean Brady Recent Fight Results

Brady was a former Cage Fury Fighting Championship titleholder when he was signed by UFC in 2019. He was an undefeated prospect with 10 wins and a 50% finish rate. He made his octagon debut against Court McGee and won via a unanimous decision.

Since that successful first match, he has won six of his past seven matches, the only loss coming against Muhammad in October 2022 at UFC 280. Brady is currently on a two-fight win streak after defeating Kelvin Gastelum and Gilbert Burns.
