  • Belal Muhammad is the newly crowned UFC welterweight champion.
  • Muhammad holds an MMA record of 24 wins and three losses.
  • Muhammad begged off from his fight against No. 3-ranked divisional contender Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 310.

Belal Muhammad shocked the world by beating Leon Edwards in their UFC welterweight title fight in the main event of UFC 305 in July. He defied the UFC odds and scored a massive upset through a unanimous decision win inside the Co-op Live in Manchester, England.

Muhammad was the considerable betting underdog entering the match, but he quickly proved that he was one of the current best 170-pound fighters in the world by showcasing his constantly improving skills backed by pressure and relentless wrestling.

This latest triumph has enormously raised his stock to another level, but when will Muhammad return to action, and who will he face next inside the octagon? Find out below.

When Is Belal Muhammad’s Next Fight?

Muhammad has withdrawn from his title fight with No. 3-ranked divisional contender Shavkat Rakhmonov on Dec. 7 due to a bone infection in his foot.

They were supposed to headline the UFC 310 PPV card inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. A new main event is now in the works for the said event.

But since 2022 he has been training with Eagles MMA and American Kickboxing Academy under the tutelage of former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and reigning king Islam Makhachev.
