  • Rafael Fiziev is an up-and-coming lightweight star.
  • Fiziev holds an MMA record of 12 wins and two losses.
  • Fiziev is coming off a loss to Justin Gaethje.

Azerbaijan’s Rafael Fiziev has further solidified his status as a new UFC betting favorite after going toe-to-toe with former lightweight interim champion Justin Gaethje in the co-main event of UFC 286 in March 2023. Despite the majority decision defeat, which snapped his six-fight winning streak, Fiziev is now a known name in BetMGM’s online sportsbook.

With his still youthful career and hunger, Fiziev can still make a run for a title, and a few more wins against other top contenders can help Fiziev’s case to fight for the title. But when will we see him back inside the Octagon? And who will Fiziev fight next?

When is Rafael Fiziev’s Next Fight?

Rafael Fiziev’s next opponent is yet to be determined. Still, because of how stacked the 155-pound division is and how other top contenders are booked in respective fights, the Azerbaijani can be the gatekeeper of the top five contenders for now. He could fend off the challenges from Mateusz Gamrot and Arman Tsarukyan.
