Based on NFL betting lines at the BetMGM online sportsbook, the Chicago Bears Moneyline (-110) is the first NFL prediction I have for Week 9.
Chicago enters this game off an emotionally taxing defeat. However, they get a Cardinals offense overperforming their record thanks to unsustainable winning strategies.
Arizona has won two straight and three of their previous four. Each of the last two have come on last-second field goals. Jonathan Gannon's side has also trailed in four straight games entering the fourth quarter.
The Cardinals defense also carries a massive disadvantage compared to the Bears record. Arizona is 29th in defensive EPA per play and 32nd in defensive success rate.
Meanwhile, the Bears are fourth and fifth in those respective categories.
This season, the Bears own an outstanding record when they face bad defenses. Chicago also matches a historically profitable betting system in this spot as one-point underdogs.
