Stuttgart Open 2025: Prize Money for WTA Clay Tennis In Germany

In this April 29, 2012, file photo, Russia's Maria Sharapova sits on the Porsche Carrera she won after beating Belarus' Victoria Azarenka 6-1, 6-4 in the final of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart, Germany. Three of Maria Sharapova's major sponsors are cutting ties with the Russian tennis star after she acknowledged failing a doping test at the Australian Open. Sportswear giant Nike, Swiss watch brand Tag Heuer and German luxury car company Porsche moved quickly to distance themselves from the five-time Grand Slam winner after she announced the positive test at a news conference in Los Angeles on Monday, March 7, 2016.

  • The Stuttgart Open is the only WTA 500 event this week ahead of Madrid.
  • The total prize purse for the 2025 Stuttgart Open is more than $1 million.

The WTA tour is spread out all over Europe this week, with players opting to participate in various tournaments in Germany, Portugal, and France.ย

The goal of nearly all of them? Get ready for next weekโ€™s big draw at the Madrid Open โ€“ the first 1,000-point event of the clay swing on the womenโ€™s tour. That makes this week, first and foremost, a warm-up for the Spanish clay that will dominate the final stretch of April.

But if youโ€™re going to play a warm-up tournament, you might as well go where the prize purse is heftiest. This week, thatโ€™s in Stuttgart, Germany, at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix. (Germans do love a tennis tournament sponsored by a car โ€“ BMW is the title sponsor for this weekโ€™s Munich Open down in Bavaria.)

Unlike other tournaments this week in Rouen and Oeiras, the Stuttgart Open is a 500-point event, which carries with it more tour prestige and more prize money. Thatโ€™s one reason why the player list for Stuttgart includes Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek, Jessica Pegula, Coco Gauff, Mirra Andreeva, and many other top players on tour right now.

As usual, BetMGM has tennis odds for all the matches through Sunday. As usual, keep an eye on Swiatek now that the ladies are playing on dirt.ย

The total prize purse for Stuttgart this year is a healthy $1,064,510. Individual payouts are listed below.ย
