  • Man City is a -1.5-goal favorite against Manchester United.
  • City won both meetings against United this season and won the FA Cup Final last year.
  • Target this prop market for Saturday’s final at Wembley Stadium.

Seeking their second consecutive domestic double, Manchester City are set to face Manchester United in Saturday’s FA Cup Final.

City earned their fourth consecutive league title the previous weekend and can defend their FA Cup title with a win on Saturday at Wembley Stadium.

These sides met in the final last season, with manager Pep Guardiola’s side racing out to an early lead and winning 2-1.

This season, City beat United 6-1 on aggregate in two league meetings.

Here’s a look at the FA Cup odds and my prediction for Saturday’s final.

FA Cup Odds – Man City vs. Manchester United

  • Man City Moneyline: -300
  • Manchester United Moneyline: +725
  • Draw Moneyline: +425
  • Over/Under: 3.5 Goals (+100/-145)

FA Cup Prediction – Man City vs. Manchester United

Manchester City Over 7.5 Corners (-125)

Save for their recent output at Old Trafford against Arsenal, United have struggled to limit corners against the Premier League’s best teams.

In two head-to-head meetings with Manchester City, the Red Devils allowed their neighbors to surpass 10 corners on both occasions.

Even if you only sample their output at Old Trafford — that came when United was healthier on the defensive end — they still allowed 12 corners to City.

Expand the sample to consider seven games this year against Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City, and bettors will find United’s opponent cleared this number five times.

One of the lone times they held an opponent under this number came via the hook when they surrendered seven corners to Liverpool in a FA Cup quarterfinal fixture.

The other came at home against Arsenal, who were happy to hand Manchester United the ball after taking a 1-0 lead.

That’s not Manchester City’s style. Guardiola’s side held a minority of the ball in only two Premier League matches this season and at least 60% in all but 11 league matches.

Plus, in addition to excelling corner-wise against Manchester United, they’ve largely excelled in that arena irrespective of opponent.

City averaged 7.53 corners per game in the Premier League this season, good for second-best in the Premier League.

Dating back to their league fixture against Newcastle United in January — that marked the return of Kevin De Bruyne from injury — they averaged 8.32 corners per game.

In those 19 fixtures, they cleared this number 10 times and reached seven corners in all but six games.

Add in there’s no rest disadvantage for Manchester City and I’ll take them to clear this number for the second straight game.
