Texas Rangers skipper Bruce Bochy leads all current managers in career ejections, getting tossed 86 times in his 28-year career. Bochy was ejected as many as six times during the 2007 season when he led the San Francisco Giants.

Bochy hasnโ€™t been tossed in a game this season, but he had five ejections in 2024.

Which Current MLB Manager has the Fewest Ejections?

First-year managers Will Venable (Chicago White Sox) and Clayton McCullough (Miami Marlins) have not been ejected in their careers. Seattle Mariners skipper Dan Wilson, who was thrust into the role midseason in 2024, also has no career ejections.

Which MLB Manager has the Most Ejections This Season?

No manager has been ejected in the early stages of the 2025 season, but New York Yankees skipper Aaron Boone is a name to watch on this leaderboard. He has led the American League in manager ejections for four straight seasons.

The single-season record for MLB manager ejections is 11, which four different skippers have accomplished. John McGraw was ejected 11 times in two different seasons (1905 and 1906), while Bobby Cox was the most recent manager to be tossed 11 times (2001).
