Tigers vs. Guardians Prediction, Series Best Bet
Best bet: Guardians to Win the ALDS (-120)
These two teams are similar. They are both overlooked due to their division and have relied on their bullpen for much of the season.
But nobody has a better bullpen than Cleveland.
The Guardians’ relievers led the majors with a 2.57 ERA, finishing well above the Milwaukee Brewers (3.11 ERA) bullpen. They also paced the sport in FIP (3.30) and WAR (7.8) this year.
The ALDS schedule gives Cleveland a chance to exploit its bullpen advantage. The Guardians-Tigers will only have one back-to-back with off days after Game 1 and Game 2.
I think the Guardians have a distinct advantage with all their relievers available throughout the series. This -120 series price tag feels short, especially compared to the -150 moneyline value in Game 1.
