Jarrett Allen, Donovan Mitchell, and Evan Mobley all signed contract extensions with the Cavaliers this summer.

Mitchell, an All-Star guard, agreed to a three-year, $150.3 million extension in early July. He now has a chance to reach the leagueโ€™s 10-year service criteria, allowing him to pursue a five-year extension worth more than $380 million in 2027.

Mobley, who is only 23, inked a five-year, $224 million extension to establish himself as a cornerstone for Cleveland.

The Cavsโ€™ only addition was picking Jaylon Tyson at No. 20 in this yearโ€™s NBA draft.

Cavaliers 2024 Betting Prediction

Prediction: Cavs to Win Central Division (+225)

The Cavaliers should have won the division last year. They rested their players in the regular-season finale to ensure a more favorable first-round opponent, which worked when they earned a postseason victory over the Orlando Magic.

Cleveland wonโ€™t make the same decision this year. Honestly, it shouldn’t even come to that.

The Milwaukee Bucks enter the year as the preseason favorites to win the division for the seventh straight season. Yet the Cavs might be the better regular-season team.

Clevelandโ€™s core is much younger than Milwaukeeโ€™s roster. The Cavs ranked sixth in defensive rating last year, and new head coach Kenny Atkinson might help improve the offensive rating from last yearโ€™s rank of 18th.

That’s why Atkinson is my favorite Coach of the Year odds bet entering the season.

The market has been all over the Cavs to win the division, as this price opened at +350.ย

At +200 or better, Iโ€™m jumping on the bandwagon.
