Kevin Durant is not long for the Phoenix Suns. The future Hall-of-Famer has struggled to find his footing since his days with the Warriors, highlighted (or maybe lowlighted) by a dismal stretch of time with the Suns.
Matt Ishbia gave away much of the Sunsโ roster to acquire Durant in February 2023. Now, the Suns are awful, and the Phoenix front office is looking to trade the last year or Durantโs contract to jump-start the rebuild with a few longer-term assets.
Durantโs current contract and 2025-26 salary should be major talking points this summer. The speculation about Kevin Durantโs next team will only grow louder.
