  • The Sacramento Kings have a win total of 46.5 this year.
  • The Kings missed the playoffs with a 46-36 record in 2023-24.

After missing the playoffs in 2023-24, the Sacramento Kings traded for DeMar DeRozan in hopes of returning to the postseason this year.

NBA futures odds are available at the online sportsbook, including Sacramento Kings odds for NBA champion, division winner, and player awards.

Kings Futures Odds

Win Total: 46.5
Pacific Division: +275
Western Conference: +2500
NBA Championship: +6600

The NBA odds market still views Sacramento as a long shot in a loaded Western Conference.

Sacramentoโ€™s odds to win the West are +2500, the same preseason price it had last year. The teamโ€™s championship value is +6600 after being +5000 this time last summer.

The Kings have seen their win total climb after going over in back-to-back seasons. This yearโ€™s mark is their highest win total since they had an over/under of 49.5 ahead of the 2005-06 campaign.

Kings Offseason Moves

The highlight of the Kingsโ€™ offseason was landing DeRozan in a three-team, sign-and-trade deal involving the Chicago Bulls and San Antonio Spurs.

The Kings landed DeRozan in early July via a three-year, $74 million sign-and-trade deal. They lost Harrison Barnes to the Spurs and Chris Duarte to the Bulls in the move.

DeRozan, entering his age-35 season, joins a talented Sacramento core featuring Deโ€™Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis.ย

DeRozan averaged 24.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game for Chicago last season, finishing second in the NBAโ€™s Clutch Player of the Year votingโ€”the same award Fox won in 2022-23.

In addition, the Kings added Devin Carter with the No. 13 pick in the draft. Carter ranks highly in my updated NBA rookie rankings, as heโ€™s one of the best perimeter defenders in the class.

Kings 2024 Betting Prediction

Prediction: Kings/Suns Pacific Division Dual Forecast (+500)

Note: This line has moved to +300 since this bet was placed. It’s not playable at that line.

I believe the Phoenix Suns or Kings will win the Pacific Division. The former is the favorite at +180, while the latter is +275.

By attacking the dual forecast market, bettors can get +500 odds on the Suns and Kings to finish at the top in any order. For comparison, the Suns and Lakers have the same +500 value.

But I prefer the Kingsโ€™ current roster to the Lakers, especially considering Sacramentoโ€™s stars are younger than Los Angelesโ€™ stars.

The Kings led the league in offensive rating during the 2022-23 season to secure their first playoff berth since 2006. But last yearโ€™s team was closer to the league average, ranking 13th in offensive rating.

With the addition of DeRozan and third-year forward Keegan Murray taking another step, Iโ€™m expecting Sacramento to return to form on the offensive end. That should help the team contend with the Suns atop a competitive division.
