McClung, who is on Orlando’s G-League roster, has only played five minutes for the Magic this season. But he will represent the team with his impressive dunking skills, which have led to back-to-back crowns in this event.

Based on the latest NBA betting lines, McClung has an implied probability of 67.74% to win this year’s dunk contest. The 6-foot-2 guard would join Nate Robinson (2006, 2009, 2010) as the only three-time winner in the event’s history by claiming the crown this season.

McClung has some promising young challengers in this year’s competition, even if they lack the name recognition compared to previous seasons.

Rookie Stephon Castle, who is 6-foot-6, was selected by the San Antonio Spurs with the No. 4 overall pick. He’s had a solid debut season, establishing himself as part of the Spurs’ core group around center Victor Wembanyama.
