Archie Miller is currently finishing his first full year as head coach of the Rhode Island Rams.

Rhode Island will finish under .500 for the third straight year. Miller’s Rams had an 0-1 record in Quadrant 1 games this year, as of February 28.

After a successful six years as head coach of the Dayton Flyers (2011-17) Archie Miller was hired to replace Tom Crean as head coach of Indiana basketball.

However, Miller failed to lead the Hoosiers to the NCAA Tournament in each of his four seasons, which led to his dismissal in Bloomington.

Indiana was likely to make the field in March 2020 before the NCAA Tournament was canceled due to Covid.

Ultimately, Miller’s tenure became Indiana’s first four-year period without an NCAA berth since 1968-72.

Miller took the 2021-22 season away from coaching before deciding to return to the Atlantic 10. He accepted the Rhode Island job in March 2022.
