Millions of college basketball fans will fill out March Madness brackets at the end of this season, hunting for every last bit of research that could point them toward a correct national championship prediction.

Naturally, bracketology is all guesswork, and 10 different people might believe in 10 different teams.ย

But when it comes to March Madness and college basketball odds, there is actually a pretty clear answer on who the favorite is to win the upcoming 2024-25 national championship.

Who Is Predicted to Win March Madness?

Auburn is currently favored to win March Madness. Auburn is in sole possession of first place in the toughest conference in college basketball this year โ€“ the SEC โ€“ and scored several high-profile wins in the nonconference portion of its schedule.

Duke, a traditional blue blood with former No. 1 recruit Cooper Flagg, is the second-most likely to win at +425.ย

UConn has now won back-to-back national championships but is not currently considered to be a top contender.ย
