Drafted No. 22 in 2017 by the Miami Dolphins, defensive end Charles Harris is on his third NFL team after signing with the Detroit Lions in 2022.

Charles Harris Salary

Harris signed a two-year, $13,000,000 contract with the Lions. It included a $5,965,000 signing bonus, $7,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $6,500,000.

Charles Harris Cap Hit

The 28-year-old carries a $5,076,568 cap hit in 2023.

Charles Harris Potential Extension

Charles Harris hasn’t lived up to his draft stature as a first-round pick but is still a key contributor.

Harris barely played in 2022, missing more than 10 games. He’ll need to stay on the field in 2023 to parlay his play into a new deal. The Lions’ pass rusher is likely looking at a short-term deal, something along the lines of a one-year contract at $6.5 million.
