Going into the 2024 season, many NFL betting experts believed the Chicago Bears were a team to watch in the NFC North following the addition of quarterback Caleb Williams with the first overall pick.

But those expectations didnโ€™t match reality. The Bears went 5-12 overall after a 4-2 start to the season. They were the only team in the NFC North not to make the playoffs.

Thus, Chicago has the 10th overall pick in this yearโ€™s NFL Draft. The Bears could upgrade at a few different positions, but theyโ€™ve already been active this offseason to address some of those concerns. Hereโ€™s an examination of the Bearsโ€™ draft situation.

What Are The Bearsโ€™ NFL Draft Picks In 2025?

The Bears have the 10th overall pick in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Chicago also has the 39th overall and 41st overall selections, both in the second round, as well as the 72nd overall selection in the third round. They have one pick in the fifth round and two selections in the seventh, too.

Bears Mock Draft Possibilities

LSU OL Will Campbell

Going into the offseason, one team need stood out above all others for the Bears, and thatโ€™s help along the offensive line. If Chicago really wants to set Caleb Williams up to be the type of quarterback many believed he could be, heโ€™s got to have more time in the pocket. The Bears allowed a league-worst 68 sacks in 2024.

Many believe Will Campbell is the best offensive line prospect in this class, and I donโ€™t disagree. At 6-foot-6, 319 pounds, he has the makeup of an All Pro in my mind. He could end up being moved to the interior depending on the situation and what team he goes to, but no matter where he plays, I think he could be a staple of a good O-line.

The problem is, unless the Bears trade up, I donโ€™t see him dropping to No. 10.

Missouri OL Armand Membou

If the Bears donโ€™t end up getting Campbell, Armand Membou would be a great prospect as well. While playing primarily at right tackle, Membou has the strength, athleticism, and attention to fundamentals to make him worthy of a top-10 pick.

Among all FBS offensive linemen who played at least 530 snaps last season, Membou was fourth in Pro Football Focusโ€™ overall grades and tied for ninth in run blocking. He gave up just eight pressures and no sacks all season.

Membou would end up being a good fit for the Bears.

Georgia EDGE Mykel Williams

While he wasnโ€™t a regular starter for Georgia, Mykel Williams has a ton of upside. He was second among the Bulldogs with five sacks to go with 8.5 tackles for loss in 2024.

The Bearsโ€™ pass rush wasnโ€™t terrible a year ago, as they tied for 16th in the league with 40 sacks. But considering how important that is to a defense, they likely want to be even better in that area. And if they donโ€™t end up finding a solid pass rusher to play opposite of Montez Sweat via trade or free agency, Williams would be a solid option here.

Is A Bears-Myles Garrett Trade Possible?

Recent offensive line additions could allow the Bears some freedom with that 10th overall pick.

The Bears traded a 2026 fourth-round pick to the Kansas City Chiefs for Pro Bowl offensive lineman Joe Thuney on Wednesday. A day prior, Chicago sent a sixth-rounder from this yearโ€™s draft for Rams O-lineman Jonah Jackson.

Both offer positional flexibility, and both give the Bears immediate upgrades for a position group they badly needed to improve.

And this all gives the Bears a lot more flexibility regarding their top picks this year. They no longer desperately need to address their O-line with their first-round selection, though it would still make sense if they did. And hey could still add some promising players up front with either of their second-rounders.

Could the Bears position themselves to make a trade for Browns star defensive end Myles Garrett? Heโ€™s requested a trade, but the Browns have said they donโ€™t intend on trading him.

However, if the Browns change their minds, theyโ€™ll likely want some draft capital in return. The Bears could afford to part with some picks now that theyโ€™ve picked up Thuney and Jackson.
