Davante Adams Contract: Salary After Trade to Jets

Davante Adams asked out of Green Bay after the 2021 season. The All-Pro receiver got his wish, joining the Raiders in March 2022. 

The trade came with a huge contract extension, which he surely didn’t mind. 

But it turns out losing isn’t all that fun, and the Raiders have struggled to win games during Adams’ tenure in Las Vegas. This season, Adams once again signaled that he was available in the trade market.

Las Vegas dealt him to one of the most desperate teams in the league – the New York Jets – reuniting him with his former quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The Raiders will receive a conditional draft pick in return. Despite the poor start to the season, the New York Jets odds market should get a boost from the trade. Perhaps the playoff hunt isn’t over after all.

Davante Adams Contract

Davante Adams signed a five-year, $140 million contract extension as part of his original trade to the Raiders in March 2022. His contract currently runs through 2026. 

Davante Adams Salary

Davante Adams will collect $17,500,000 in cash for the 2024 season, most of which is base salary. 

Adams’ contract also calls for a $100,000 workout bonus and $30,000 per-game bonuses if he appears on the active roster. 

Adams will carry an average annual salary of $28 million for the life of his contract extension.

Davante Adams Guaranteed Money

Davante Adams’ contract currently calls for approximately $65.7 million in guaranteed money. 

Only about $22.8 million was guaranteed at the beginning of the contract. However, his salary and roster bonuses for both 2023 and 2024 were guaranteed at the start of the 2023 NFL season.
