Drafted No. 14 overall in 2015 by the Miami Dolphins, wide receiver DeVante Parker has found a new home with the New England Patriots.

Parker signed a four-year, $30,500,000 contract with the Miami Dolphins, including a $9,500,000 signing bonus, $21,750,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $7,625,000.

Parker’s skill at wide receiver has always been there, but results haven’t consistently translated. His most successful statistical season came in 2019, where he tallied 1,202 yards with nine touchdowns. He hasn’t come close to recreating those numbers and has had difficulty staying on the field for an entire season.

Parker’s coming off his first year with the Patriots, where he suited up for 13 games and tallied 539 receiving yards. That’s been on par with what’s expected of Parker, meaning his 1,000-yard season looks more like an outlier. Still, teams continue to be enamored by his size and skill, which will likely land him another short-term contract in the league.
