Overtime stats and scores absolutely count in NFL, college football, and most other sports betting markets.

Part of the thrill of online sports betting is predicting what you think will happen in any given game. And as any seasoned bettor can tell you, there will be times where something completely unexpected will take place in a game you’ve wagered on.

One of the most common bumps in the road can be overtime, especially for anyone who has bet on a game total.

It’s a common rite of passage for bettors to wager on a savvy under, only to lose the bet because the game went to overtime.

Do Second-Half Bets Include Overtime?

At BetMGM, the answer is yes. As a general rule at most sportsbooks, overtime stats and scores are counted as relevant for 2H bets.

BetMGM’s official rules read that “overtime periods are counted in the Second Half score and considered official regardless of the length or suspension of the overtime period.”

Do Fourth-Quarter Bets Include Overtime?

At BetMGM, the answer is no. While 2H bets generally do include overtime, BetMGM’s rules specifically state that “fourth quarter wagers do not include overtime periods unless otherwise stated.”
