What Does an Offensive Coordinator Do?
NFL offensive coordinators create the game plan for the offense.
Some are responsible for play calling, but certain head coaches take over the play-calling duties. Most of those head coaches previously worked as offensive coordinators.
Offensive coordinators also participate in film breakdowns of their units. Additionally, they help scout opponents to identify the strategy for each game.
During games, coordinators are also responsible for personnel decisions and adjusting live game plans.
