Have the Steelers Ever Won the Super Bowl?

The Steelers have won the Super Bowl six times, tying them with the New England Patriots for the NFL’s most Super Bowl victories.

Super Bowl IX vs. Vikings

The first Super Bowl win in franchise history saw the Black and Yellow pick up a 16-6 victory over the Minnesota Vikings. The Steelers were underdogs, but Mean Joe Greene and the defense stood out in the win.

Super Bowl X vs. Cowboys

The Steelers captured their second Super Bowl in consecutive seasons, winning against the Vikings and Dallas Cowboys in back-to-back years. They became the NFL’s third team to win two in a row.

Super Bowl XIII vs. Cowboys

Pittsburgh picked up their third Super Bowl victory in five seasons with an impressive high-scoring 35-31 win over the Cowboys. Terry Bradshaw was named Super Bowl MVP after throwing four touchdown passes.

Super Bowl XIV vs. Rams

This Super Bowl victory by the Steelers allowed them to become the first team in the NFL to capture four Lombardi trophies. Bradshaw again made the difference, connecting on an important 47-yard score through the air to Lynn Swann.

Super Bowl XXX vs. Cowboys

In their fifth Super Bowl appearance, the Steelers suffered their first loss against the Dallas Cowboys, falling 27-17 at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona.

Super Bowl XL vs. Seahawks

Pittsburgh improved to 5-1 in the Super Bowl after beating the Seattle Seahawks 21-10. Steelers head coach Bill Cowher captured the only Super Bowl of his career in this matchup.

Super Bowl XLIII vs. Cardinals

It was another victorious night for the Steelers on Super Bowl Sunday, besting the Arizona Cardinals 27-23. Multiple historic plays took place during this win, including a 100-yard interception return by James Harrison and Santonio Holmes’s iconic six-yard touchdown reception with 35 seconds left.

Super Bowl XLV vs. Packers

The last time the Steelers advanced to the Super Bowl was in 2011 when Pittsburgh dropped a 31-25 contest to the Green Bay Packers.
