There are five roman numerals for the 2024 Super Bowl: L (50), V (5), I (1), I (1), and I (1). The numbers equal a sum of 58.

Additional roman numerals: X (10), C (100), D (500), and M (1,000).

If all the roman numerals are in descending order, e.g., Super Bowl LVIII, you add the values of each numeral:

50 + 5 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 58

If all or some of the roman numerals are in ascending order, e.g., Super Bowl LIV, you add the value of any descending numerals to the difference of the final largest numeral and preceding smaller numeral:

50 + (5-1) = 54
