Jaren Hall Contract: Salary, Guaranteed Money With Vikings

Jaren Hall was selected in the fifth round (164th overall) of the 2023 NFL Draft by the Vikings. With then-34-year-old Kirk Cousins set to play the final year of his current contract in 2023, Minnesota badly needed to add some young depth at quarterback. 

Since then, Cousins has torn his Achilles. The Vikings added Joshua Dobbs via trade, who accounted for eight total touchdowns and nine turnovers before ultimately being benched. 

Nick Mullens started games against the Bengals and Lions, where he threw six interceptions and was sacked seven times.

For Week 17, the Vikings are turning back to Hall, who saw his first NFL action during a spot start in Week 8.

Jaren Hall Contract

A few days after being drafted, Jaren Hall signed a four-year deal with the Vikings worth $4,119,276. 

Because he was not a first-round pick, there is no team option for a fifth year of control.

Hall’s contract includes a signing bonus of $279,276, which is the only guaranteed money the contract includes. He can be cut at any time with minimal financial impact to the team.

Jaren Hall’s base salary for the 2023 season is $750,000. His average annual salary for the duration of his four-year deal is $1,029,819.

Prior to playing for the Vikings, Jaren Hall was a two-year starter at BYU. 

Hall threw for 6,174 yards and 52 touchdowns (with 11 interceptions) during his NCAA career, adding an extra 796 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground.
