In the hopes of discovering their next franchise quarterback, the Commanders drafted Jayden Daniels second overall in 2024.ย 

The LSU alum passed for just over 3,800 yards in his 2023 college season while adding just over 1100 yards on the ground.ย

Despite making only $795,000 in base salary this year, Daniels represents the fifth-largest cap hit for the Commanders.ย 

Amongst the highest-paid Commanders players, Daniels is slated to make just over $4 million in base salary across his four-year contract with Washington.ย

Daniels will make $4.02 million in base salary across his four-year rookie contract, which will expire when Daniels is 27.ย 

Hereโ€™s a breakdown of Danielsโ€™ base salary across each season:ย 

2024: $795,000

2025: $960,000

2026: $1,075,000

2027: $1,190,000

Including signing and roster bonuses, the Commanders owe Daniels $13.47 million in guaranteed money.ย 

Across all four seasons, Daniels will count $37.75 million against the NFL salary cap.
