There’s a lot of chatter surrounding Miami that this will be Baker’s final season with the club, despite still being signed in 2024. He’s lacked consistency and isn’t worth his current price tag, but his number against the cap drops substantially after 2023 if they decide to cut him.
With that in mind, Baker could be looking for a new area code in 2023.
He had a career-high seven sacks in 2020 but hasn’t found consistency getting to the quarterback. As a result, it might be difficult for him to get term with his next contract.
