Joe Milton Rookie Contract: Salary, Guaranteed Money With Patriots

The Patriots have quite the history with sixth-round quarterbacks, and they may have another live one on their hands.

Former Tennessee Volunteer Joe Milton III wasn’t the expected leader for the 2024 Patriots. That would be Drake Maye, who the Patriots drafted with the No. 3 pick at the top of the first round.

Nevertheless, the early scuttlebutt out of Patriots camp is that Milton is outplaying Maye. That could put him in line for some real playing time as the regular season approaches. 

It could also make Patriots odds a much more interesting proposition for 2024.

Joe Milton signed a four-year rookie contract worth $4,203,316. 

The deal keeps him in New England for the standard four years. However, as a sixth-round pick, Milton’s contract is not fully guaranteed, and there is no fifth-year team option.

As a rookie, Joe Milton will earn $795,000 in base salary for the 2024 season.
