  • Tyreek Hill (+500) is the favorite to lead the NFL in receiving yards.
  • Hill led the league in 2023 with only 50 yards more than Dallas’ CeeDee Lamb.
  • Three straight receiving yards leaders have cleared 1,700 yards.

For the upcoming NFL season, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill (+500) is the favorite to lead the league in receiving yards.

Hill took the crown in the 2023 regular season, which also saw Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa lead the league in passing yards.

Expected to challenge Hill for the title this season are Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb (+600), Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson (+700) and Bengals receiver Ja’Marr Chase (+800).

Below is a full list of NFL betting lines for the title, as well as the current rankings.

NFL Receiving Yards Leader Prediction

CeeDee Lamb to Lead the League in Receiving Yards (+600)

It’s a chalky pick for sure, but tell me how this Cowboys offense is anything but Dak Prescott to Lamb over and over and over again.

There is a concern that Ezekiel Elliott returns to fill Tony Pollard’s departure, but this is a Dallas team that wants to pass the ball.

Last season, Dallas led the league in passing attempts per game and passing yards per game while sitting 11th in passing play percentage.

They also receive an extra game this year at home, where they averaged 40 pass attempts per game and 314.4 passing yards per contest, both first in the NFL.

Plus, Lamb proved a favorite target of Prescott recently.

Last year, Lamb led the Cowboys with 181 targets. That’s 79 more than tight end Jake Ferguson and 100 more than WR2 Brandin Cooks.

In 2022, which saw Prescott start 12 games, Lamb received 156 targets. That was 67 more than tight end Dalton Schultz and 82 more than Noah Brown and Michael Gallup.

Plus, there are some historical trends emerging in picking this title winner.

Including last season, two straight receiving yards leaders have finished second in the race the previous season.

Dating back to the 2017 season, the eventual winner finished sixth or better in receiving yards the previous season on five of seven occasions.

If that trend holds this season, it means one of these six receivers is leading the league this year: Hill, Lamb, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Puka Nacua, A.J. Brown or D.J. Moore.

Of those six, the realistic arguments are for Hill or Lamb given the other four are competing for targets.

Not since 2012 has the same player led the league in receiving yards in back-to-back years (Calvin Johnson), so I’ll back Lamb to take this year’s title.
