  • The Vikings are -3 against the Bears.
  • Minnesota earned a road win in the previous meeting.
  • Chicago is 1-5 away from home this season.

Ahead of Week 12 Monday Night Football, I’m here to provide a pair of Vikings vs. Bears predictions.

The Vikings saw their five-game winning streak end last week in Denver. Currently, Minnesota sits at 6-5, good for second place in the NFC North.

The Bears, meanwhile, are 3-8 having lost three of their last four games.

In the first meeting of the season in Chicago, Minnesota captured a 19-13 victory.

Here’s a look at the NFL betting lines for Monday’s game, as well as my bets for the contest.

Vikings vs. Bears Betting Odds

  • Minnesota Vikings Moneyline: -150
  • Chicago Bears Moneyline: +125
  • Game Spread: Minnesota Vikings -3 (-105)
  • Game Total: 44 Points

Vikings vs. Bears Predictions

Same-Game Parlay: Bears Spread (+7.5) & Total Under 43.5 Points (+165)

Chicago admittedly needed a boatload of turnovers to cover against the Lions. Now, they travel for their second straight divisional contest.

Although I’m unsure if the Bears can win outright, I believe they can stay within a touchdown.

Since adding Josh Dobbs, the Vikings have played three games that have all finished within eight points, including two games decided by three points or less.

What’s impressed me about the Vikings, though, is their defense.

Minnesota sits ninth in defensive DVOA, having faced the 12th-hardest set of opposing offenses, per ftnfantasy.com.

The Bears defense, despite sitting 25th in defensive DVOA for the season, has played two of their three best defensive games in the last two weeks.

Add in the penchant for primetime unders, and I expect a low-scoring game come Monday.

Alexander Mattison Under 45.5 Rushing Yards (-115)

Mattison exploded for 81 yards last week against the Broncos.

However, that represents only his third clearance of this number this season.

Now he faces a stout Bears run defense with extra time to prepare. Entering Monday’s contest, Chicago ranks 11th in rush defense DVOA, per ftnfantasy.com.

Additionally, the Bears have surrendered under 100 total rushing yards in all but three games this season and rank second in opponent rushing yards per game.

Meanwhile, Minnesota sits 27th in rushing yards per attempt and rushing yards per game.

Given the Vikings amassed only 46 TOTAL rushing yards in the previous meeting, take the under on Mattison.
