  • Tony Finau (+1400) has the best golf odds to win the 2022 3M Open.
  • The 2022 3M Open will be played at TPC Twin Cities.

With only three top-25 players in the world teeing it up at the 3M Open this week, many players are taking the week off following the Open Championship. But there are no weeks off in golf betting.

Even with a below-average field, there are still dozens of betting options for the tournament, including live golf betting once the tournament gets underway Thursday.

TPC Twin Cities, located just outside Minneapolis, is similar to most PGA Tour courses with tree-lined fairways, thick rough, and numerous water hazards. It will not be wide open and fast like The Renaissance Club and St. Andrews.

Players who had success before the two weeks in Scotland should continue their strong play this week, which is something I am looking for when making my selections this week.

There will likely be a ton of birdies; the winning score in each of the tournament’s three years has been 15-under or better.

Here are my three best bets for the 3M Open.

3M Open Predictions, Picks & Best Bets:

Cam Davis Top-10 Finish 3M Open: +240

Davis’ length and ability to make birdies in bunches will come in handy this week. He ranks inside the top 50 in both Driving Distance and Birdie or Better percentage this season.

The 27-year-old also enters in tremendous form, with two straight top-10 finishes (T-6 at the Barracuda and a T-8 at the John Deere Classic). He also finished T-12 at this event last year.

Doug Ghim Top-20 Finish 3M Open: +250

Ghim is an underrated ball-striker on Tour who usually is held back by his putting. But, he’s gained strokes on the greens in three of his last four events, and TPC Twin Cities has been a course that even poor putters have been able to score at.

He also is a player that can make a lot of birdies and has two top-20 finishes in his last five starts overall. Ghim finished T-18 at this event in 2020.

Nate Lashley Top-20 Finish 3M Open: +333

It has been boom-or-bust for Lashley this season. In his last 10 starts, he’s either missed the cut, withdrawn (six times), or finished in the top 25 (four times). With a weaker field, this seems like a week he could thrive.

Lashley’s lone PGA Tour win came at the Rocket Mortgage Classic, another event where birdies are plentiful.
