Following a terrific PGA Championship, the PGA Tour will head to Texas for the Charles Schwab Challenge from Colonial Country Club.
It is not a designated event, but many top players are still teeing it up.
Sam Burns is the defending champion after he beat Scottie Scheffler in a playoff.
The event has a $8.7 million purse.
Charles Schwab Challenge Field
The Charles Schwab Challenge is an invitational field, limited to 120 players, and the cut will be the top 65 players, including ties.
Despite being between the PGA Championship and a designated event in the Memorial, many top players are teeing it up, including Scheffler, Jordan Spieth, Viktor Hovland, Tony Finau, Max Homa and Collin Morikawa.
Also in the field is Michael Block, the local club PGA pro who stole the show at the PGA Championship. He received the last sponsor’s exemption Sunday night.
