  • Ludvig Aberg won for the second time on the PGA Tour.

The excitement from the PGA Tour’s West Coast swing continued at the Genesis Invitational from Torrey Pines in San Diego.

The annual event is typically held at Riveria Country Club but was moved due to the L.A. wildfires.

It was a PGA Tour signature event, which meant all the top players in the field, including world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy. Tournament host Tiger Woods was in the field but withdrew the Monday of the event, citing he wasn’t ready to tee it up following the passing of his mother.

In a thrilling finish, Ludvig Aberg won for the second time on the PGA Tour. He finished at 12-under, one shot better than Maverick McNealy.

Aberg made four birdies on the back-9, en route to a final round 66.

The tournament had a $20 million purse.
