The last time The Masters wasn’t the first major of the year was 2020. The tournament was postponed to November due the COVID-19 pandemic, making it the last of three majors that year.

The last (and only) non-pandemic year The Masters wasn’t the first major was 1971. It was the second major, played after the PGA Championship but before the U.S. Open and British Open.
