Oakmont Country Club is located in Oakmont, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Pittsburgh. The course opened in 1903 after a design by Henry Fownes.ย
The course received both a renovation and restoration recently. Tom Fazio renovated the course in 2015 before Gil Hanse provided a restoration in 2023.ย
Oakmont served as the host venue for nine previous U.S. Opens, with the first coming in 1927.ย
