In a season with increased PGA Tour prize money payouts, it doesn’t get any bigger than the Players Championship, March 12-15, from TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.

It is one of the purest courses players play all year long.

Although not a PGA Tour signature event or a major, it is one of the biggest tournaments of the season, some calling it the fifth major.

Going into the final round, Ludvig Aberg has the best odds to win at -160. At 12-under, he has a three-shot lead.

Like a typical PGA Tour event, the top 65 players, including ties, made the weekend.

The purse is $25 million, the second biggest of the year, behind the Tour Championship.

How Much Does the Winner of the 2026 Players Championship Make?

The winner’s share for the 2026 Players Championship is $4.5 million.
