- The Tour Championship is Aug. 24-27 from East Lake.
- It is the final event of the 2022-23 PGA Tour season.
- Players will start with different scores depending on their FedEx Cup standing.
The PGA Tour’s 2022-23 season will end this week (Aug. 24-27) with the Tour Championship from East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia.
With staggered starting strokes, it will be a unique week for the players and golf betting.
The Tour Championship format has a strokes-based system at the start of this event to reward play for the events prior.
For example, since Scottie Scheffler is No. 1 in the FedEx Cup standings going into the week, he will start at -10. Since Jordan Spieth is No. 29, he will start at E.
The winner will be declared the FedEx Cup champion at the end of the week.
Tour Championship Field
After a suspenseful final day at the BMW Championship for some, the top 30 players in the FedEx Cup standings will be in the field this week at East Lake.
Some players who needed some help to qualify were Spieth, Tyrrell Hatton and Sepp Straka.
Fourteen of the top 16 players in the Official World Golf Rankings are in the field.
