The 2025 PGA Tour season concluded at the TOUR Championship from East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia, Aug. 21-Aug. 24.
The top 30 players in the FedEx Cup standings following the BMW Championship were in the field and had a chance to be the FedEx Cup champion.
Unlike past years, the event did not utilize a strokes-based system at the start to reward players for their performance in prior tournaments. The No. 1 player in the standings used to start the event at 10-under.
The bonus pool is $100 million, but will be paid out in three installments:
- $20 million after the regular season, split between the top 10
- $22.93 million after the BMW Championship, split among the top 30
- $57.08 million after the Tour Championship ($40 million split among the top 30, and $17.08 million in deferrals split among players ranked 31-150)
