The U.S. Open cut is not the same as most PGA Tour events. After two rounds, the top 60 players and ties make it to the weekend.

Most PGA Tour events have a cut to the top 65 players and ties after the first two rounds.

At the Masters, the top 50 players and ties play the weekend, while at the PGA Championship, the top 70 players and ties play the weekend.

Specific to 2023 and Los Angeles Country Club, going into the second round, the cut is expected to be somewhere between one and three over par.

Additionally, all players who make the cut at the U.S. Open get paid.
