For the second straight year, the Wells Fargo Championship was a PGA Tour signature event.

All of the best players were in the field, except world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, as he expected the birth of his first child.

Rory McIlroy won the event for the fourth time, thanks to a final round 65 that included two eagles on the back-nine.

At 17-under, he finished five shots better than Xander Schauffele.

The tournament had a $20 million purse.
